You know I am a big fan of Twitter. (Oh yeah, follow me). Here are some of the Twitter tools I am using–you should be too:

TweetDeck

Get off Twitter.com. To effectively follow and engage your community you need to have the power to group, search, and quickly get into the conversation. TweetDeck, to me, is the most versatile, stable, and full featured.

Search Twitter

It is real-time search and you should be using it. It is great for live following events (whether you are there or not) or a hot and emerging theme on the Web or in the world.

TweetBeep

Think Google Alerts for Twitter. Know when something happens you should know about. Get alerts to your name, local city or neighborhood you cover, or just the next time I post to my blog.

Twitter for WordPress

Get your Twitter conversation on your blog. This will make sure people know you are on Twitter and add a less formal conversation to your blog posts.

TwitPic

Everyone loves candid pictures. Use your mobile phone to capture and show your friends what you are up to.

bit.ly

Every Twitterati needs a URL shortener. I like bit.ly because it is great to find out who is clicking and where they found me.

I am sure there are a ton more useful tools. What tools are you using to maximize your Twitter strategy?
